Catholic Elementary Schools Grant

Purpose of the Grant Program:

• To encourage and promote music education of students in Catholic Elementary schools in the

Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Funds from the Grant program can be used for:

• A subscription or partial subscription for One License – Subscribers would have access to

thousands of congregational hymns, songs, and service music from today's top liturgical music
publishers to use in worship aids and projections.

• Rental or repair of instruments, such as tone chimes, wind, string, percussion, or brass

instruments.

• Purchase of music, octavos or music books for children’s choirs
• Purchase of Choir folders or similar supplies for use by children’s choirs.
• Purchase of music teaching aids for the classroom.

To apply for the grant:

• Download and complete the ACMP GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIP application(s).

• Follow the directions on the application to provide an explanation of why you would like to

receive the award, a description of the school music program, how the grant would be applied,
including number of students who would benefit from the grant.

Please note:

• The amount awarded will depend upon the availability of funds.
• Schools applying for a grant do not have to demonstrate monetary need, however, priority may be given to schools with a proven financial hardship.
• Grant applications will be reviewed quarterly.
• The music teacher, school choir director or principal should be a member of ACMP or join once awarded a grant
